INFORMATION ABOUT OUR COMMITTEES

The Membership Committee
Chair, Timmy Ruppersberger – promotes membership in the Robert E Lee Park Nature Council as a way to identify volunteers who will support its operations and programs.

The Recreation Committee
Chair, Howdy Knipp – sponsors recreational opportunities that meet the broad variety of community needs, without infringing on the needs of other Park users.

The Residents' Committee
Chair, Richard North – provides information to neighbors and residents about activities and programs sponsored by the Nature Council and the Park. We also educate residents on issues of common concern related to preservation of the Park’s natural assets.

The Environmental, Education, and Historical Preservation Committee
Chair, Elise Butler – focuses on efforts to preserve the environmental assets of the Park and to ensure that Park users are informed as to the historical elements that make the Park a unique Baltimore resource.

The Civic/Community Outreach Committee
Chair, Nancy Horst – educates members of nearby communities and neighborhoods about Robert E Lee Park and its unique treasures; we engage them in becoming good stewards of the Park.
