ABOUT THE COUNCIL

The Nature Council cooperates with the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks in the planning of recreational and educational programs and activities. The Park reopened on October 14, 2011 and now has multiple trails, nature and environmental programs, a dog park, two pavilions, and waterfront activities such as canoeing and kayaking. The Park also offers a rare opportunity for its users to enjoy plant life that exists only in the serpentine barrens.

The Board of Directors of the Nature Council meets at 6:30 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, in Hearing Room 1 of the Jefferson Building, 105 Chesapeake Avenue in Towson, MD. Our meetings are open to the public, so please join us. Our governing Bylaws may be found here. Minutes of our monthly meetings are found here.

The Robert E Lee Park Nature Council is in the process of applying for non-profit 501(c)3 status.
